DATES OF CONTEST: The "Internationale 2000" Remix Contest ("the contest") begins on May 1, 2006. All entries must be received by e-mail by midnight EST on July 31, 2006. 2. HOW TO ENTER: - Download the zipped audio submixes ("the submixes") from Maxx Klaxon's song "Internationale 2000". - Create one or more remixed versions of the song (a "remix") or new compositions incorporating elements from the original. You may create your remix(es) either solely from the submixes or from the submixes plus other elements which, by entering the contest, you warrant and represent do not infringe the rights of any third party. You can use as many or as few of the submixes as you want, and do whatever you want to them. - E-mail your remix(es) to i2k_remix [at] klaxon.tv. You can also post your remix online and e-mail a link to it. 3. GRANT OF LICENSE: By entering your remix in the contest, you grant to Maxx Klaxon and Popular Front Records a perpetual, worldwide, nonexclusive license to release, perform, reproduce, prepare derivative works from, sublicense, and exploit your remix throughout the universe in any and all media, now known or hereafter devised, in any manner, form, or format now known or hereinafter created. 4. YOUR RIGHTS: Your rights to your remix are governed by the Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial 2.5 license ("the Creative Commons license") under which the submixes have been released. The Creative Commons license grants you the right to copy, distribute, and perform the submixes, and to make derivative works from them. If you do copy, distribute, or perform the submixes, whether by themselves or in the context of any derivative work(s) that you have created, you must attribute the submixes to Maxx Klaxon, and you must make clear the terms under which the submixes are licensed. You may not use the submixes or any work(s) derived from them for commercial purposes. 5. SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION OF WINNER: The contest winner will be selected on the basis of merit by Maxx Klaxon, whose decision will be final. Winner will be notified by e-mail by August 15, 2006, and information on the winner and the winning remix will be posted on the Maxx Klaxon website. 6. PRIZES: The winner of the "Internationale 2000" remix contest will receive a copy of the Maxx Klaxon PARANOID STYLE EP, and a Maxx Klaxon button. The winning remix may be included on a future Maxx Klaxon release, and may also be made available on the internet for download or streaming. |
